Help a friend help the world
Mar. 17th, 2011 08:10 amMany of you are already contributing to various Help Japan projects and donating money already, but today I'd like to bring something to your attention.
Some of you may already have heard of Misha Collins' RandomAct.Org. That organization mainly focuses on their Hope To Haiti project, but Misha Collins has announced that parts of the proceeds will go to Japan as well. I know many of you might feel that Japan needs more help at present, but there is still a lot to be done for Haiti as well.
babykid528 is currently raising funds for the project. If she manages to raise $ 5,000 she'll be one of the people going to Haiti with Misha to help there directly, to do something most of us would ready to do (even if they had the time and money for it - I admit I'm one of them). She'll cover her own expenses for that PLUS the effort and work she's putting into this, which alone deserves our admiration.
For more info check out her entry here.
So I'd like to ask you, if you still have a few bucks to spare or haven't decided yet which charity organization you'd like to support to consider RandomAct and help this generous person actively contribute something that's so much greater than just donating some money.
And remember, parts of the funds will go to Japan, so you'll be helping at TWO places.
